I’ve always been drawn to clothing with personality — pieces that feel expressive… and entirely their own. In 2022, I studied abroad in Milan for nine months and found a whole world of fashion that felt like that. Vintage markets tucked into quiet streets, shopkeepers who had been curating for decades, and racks full of pieces that told stories without trying. The craftsmanship, the prints, the textures — it was like stepping into a more romantic, more playful version of getting dressed.
I couldn’t stop thinking about the world I was living in — where people dressed for themselves and style was a daily form of expression. When it was time to return to college at GWU in Washington, DC, I felt my inspiration and creativity start to drain. I wanted to bring that Milan energy back with me and start building a fashion community here. So I began sourcing with intention — curating pieces that felt wearable and fun, with a little bit of edge — and sharing them with my circle at school. Somehow, these pre-loved pieces brought a brand new energy to DC.
Back at school, I co-founded the IT GIRL Pop Up — a twice-a-year fashion event created to bring something different to the DC scene. We mixed vintage with consignment, built a space where people could have fun with style, and proved there was real demand for fashion that didn’t play by the rules.
Now, in 2025, I find myself living between Milan and DC — bringing these vintage dreams to life for all my girls back in the States. What started as a passion project has turned into Sourced by Scottie: an evolving concept rooted in self-expression, storytelling, and style that stands out.
Sourced by Scottie is for the girls who like their style with a little more story. And we’re just getting started.
